Instigator Music Group was founded in Toronto in 2008 by Rob Panchuk with the help of creative developer Walder and sound engineer / producer and business consultant Michael “McFly” Chan. Signing a number of producers and artists in Toronto and working close with one of Canada’s most notorious indie labels, GCP Recording Corp., IMG has been a force behind music that has hit the masses all over the world. With video’s hitting rotation on Much Music (Canada’s leading video station) and singles hitting commercial radio in North America, Europe and Australia, Instigator Music Group has grown and developed its artists to compete on an international level. Also building its licensing and publishing arm in 2011, Instigator MG artists have had placements and deals with: AUX TV, The Score, Spike TV, The Oxygen Network, Fuse TV, VH1,MTV and more. Branching off this success, a new division of Instigator MG was created in 2012; “Instigator Music Publishing”. The new division was started as a niche licensing library consisting of hand picked urban artists, song writers and producers to provide music for film, tv, advertising, video games and other media. Dedicated to delivering fans with a new sound and generation of timeless artists, keep an eye out for IMG and its emerging roster.
